There are so many good relevant lessons every session. I appreciate the videos, moʻolelo and interactive activities. I would not be interested if if was solely reading and response. I would like to learn how to create interactive lessons such as those you share. It really helps that I can rewatch them to hear the pronunciations and to learn the ea of the mele better etc.
I really think that it is such a great course and a wonderful effort to create a bridge between our heritage and the modern world in which we find ourselves. To me, this is the path the youngest generations of Hawaiʻi should be following toward the future and I am super grateful to have been given the opportunity to try the class. Also, Aulani has been a wonderful support to me and I really appreciate it.
The new vocabulary in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi definitely helped me bridge the gap between what Iʻm learning, and what I can teach in the classroom.
Good learning tool!! Games were fun! And we loved being able to listen to the chants and pule, all in one convenient place.
Really love the style, encouragement, and pace. Sometimes we have to learn to slow down in this world, enjoy the ʻōlelo on our tongue, and appreciate the brilliance of the kupuna. Mahalo nui for offering this mea ʻono!
Seeing other kanaka engaging and learning willingly. Makes my naʻau smile.
I enjoyed the entire experience from the interactive learning platform to the songs and chants to learning the language and lastly, cooking with a Hawaiian flare.
